Hi! My name is Laurel and I became a mom on June 8 2026 to my little angel.
I never wanted kids. Until all of a sudden, I did. My husband and I were extremely lucky, and got pregnant very quickly, and now, Isobel is my best friend and the best thing that has ever happened to me.
But I was not prepared. I went my whole life not wanting kids, and then when I decided I wanted them, I got scared because many of my friends really struggled to get pregnant. I was 34 at the time and was worried we might also struggle, we thought it might take us years.
We had just bought a house and were planning a wedding when we found out the amazing news.
(So in 2026 we moved from Dublin to Wicklow, had Isobel, and got married in Canada all in the space of 3 months lol)
But I was shit scared. I knew nothing about being a mom never mind being pregnant.
I decided I wanted to learn everything I possibly could about pregnancy, birth and post partum.
I am still learning today, and will continue to learn, but the day I found out I was pregnant I signed up for the best 100hr pregnancy yoga teacher training in Ireland with TummyLoveWithMelissa.
I turned my fear into pure excitement.
There were so many things I didn’t know, about what I could and couldn’t do in pregnancy, what birth entailed, how the hospital system worked - I was clueless. I couldn’t believe how much I didn’t know. Like how come they don’t teach us this in school!?
I found a new passion, and all I want to do is share what I have experienced, and learned, to help you have the best possible pregnancy, birth and post partum.
I am also a personal trainer and pre / post natal coach so I have an even better understanding of how our bodies work and how I can help you on this incredible journey.

New Mama movement is a post-natal fitness and yoga class for mums at every stage of postpartum, whether its your first baby or your fourth.
This is a friendly, supportive post-natal class in Wicklow Town to help you reconnect with yourself after birth.
Through mindful movement, breathing, pelvic floor connection and deep core strengthening, we’ll work on building strength from the inside out, helping you feel stronger, and more at home in your body.
This is not about ‘bouncing back’. This is about carving out a little space to help you feel human again; to help you recover, rebuild, and remember that your health is important to.
Motherhood brings so many changes, and this is a little time to show yourself some love; to move, to breathe, connect with other mums, and nurture yourself while navigating life with your new baby
Little ones are welcome so you can focus on yourself without worrying about childcare, or you can come on your own.
There will be options for baby-wearing, and space for strollers.
I want to make this class as accessible to you as possible.
Classes will be very small to ensure I can give each mum attention and help with the little ones when needed.
-
Breath work - to reconnect with your body and pelvic floor
Pelvic floor and deep core work - comes hand it hand with breathing
Strength & mobility - purposeful movement to help recover and build strength back after birth.
Yoga and stretching - ease tension and tune into yourself with mindful movement and breathing
Relaxation - each class will finish with a short meditation to help you feel grounded, and to help create even a small bit of space in your mind
Connection - Chat with other mums who understand this stage of life.
Variations depending where you are at on your journey, and options for baby wearing
A safe space to feed, and tend to your little one as needed.
